Paula Hurtado, 38, of Astoria, was picked up at Bedford Correctional Center by Wilton police on an active warrant and extradited her to Connecticut to face felony larceny charges, the Wilton Police Department said.
Hurtado's arrest is three of four stemming from a 2017 investigation where the suspects conducted a distraction type larceny at Campus Jewelers, police said.
The heist took place around 2:30 p.m., Oct. 18, 2017, when three women distracted two salespersons by having them show merchandise, while a man stole jewelry from behind the counter and put it in a brown paper shopping bag that he was carrying. The suspects then purchased an item before leaving the store.
Hurtado posted a $100,000 surety bond and is due back in court on April 26.
The fourth and final suspect is currently incarcerated and will be extradited from New York when they complete their current sentence.
